Partnering with the Holy Spirit in Daily Work
Who Is the Holy Spirit?
Who Is the Holy Spirit?
The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Triune God — co-equal, co-eternal, and co-existent with the Father and the Son. He is not an impersonal force, an energy, or a mere influence; He is God Himself, possessing a mind, a will, and emotions. He searches all things, even the deep things of God, and He can be grieved, quenched, and resisted. The Spirit was present at creation, hovering over the waters, and He is the One who inspired every word of Scripture. To know the Holy Spirit is to know God Himself — for He is the very breath and presence of the Almighty active in the world and in the lives of His people.
“The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person's thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.”
— Book of 1 Corinthians Chapter 2 Verse 10-11
Heavenly Father, I confess my sins and ask Your forgiveness for the times I have relied on my own strength rather than Your Spirit. Thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit — my counselor, guide, and partner. I yield control of this day to You. Grant me the sensitivity to recognize Your prompts in every decision, and the discernment to walk in divine order. May my work be led by Your Spirit and produce lasting fruit. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
